FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Universal Studios Installs the TV Scheduling System from DL Interactive in its Television & Networks Group

NEW YORK -- January 3, 2000 -- Universal Television & Networks Group, a division of Universal Studios has selected DL Interactive's TV Program Scheduling System for its two Latin American cable television stations; USA Latin-America and USA Brazil. DL Interactive's system was chosen because of its ability to schedule shows across multiple time-zones & multiple networks, and transmit data and schedules electronically between the U.S. and Mexico. Other factors included DL Interactive's ability to customize and install the software on a highly accelerated schedule, and import existing data from an earlier system.

"We installed this software early last month," says Daniel Latner, Founder and President of DL Interactive, "and we're very pleased with how well it's been working, and with the fact that Universal has chosen us for this project. All of our software is customized, but this one was particularly interesting because of the Spanish and Portuguese language aspect, and because so much customization took place over such a short period of time. When we arrived at Universal Studio's offices in Florida, we discovered that they were sending program schedules via Fed-Ex to the broadcasting facility in Mexico City every day -- a very expensive process. These schedules have too much information to fax, and the broadcast facility needs a clean original for each day's schedule. We were able to create an electronic data exchange between the computers in Florida & Mexico, so perfect "originals" could be transmitted and printed as needed. The staff at both ends were extremely grateful for this time and money saving addition, and we were able to add it during the normal installation."

The Program Scheduling System tracks contract information and maintains an inventory of all programs, movies, fillers, promos, "interstitials" and other "On-Air" content used for scheduling. Historical schedules are stored in the system, and schedules can be created a year or more in advance. An unlimited number of alternate program feeds are allowed, and the system supports live and "time-shifted" events.
