Marist College Selects DL Interactive to Perform Y2K Upgrade for Student Housing System

NEW YORK -- November 1, 1999 -- Marist College, a noted New York Hudson Valley school, has selected DL Interactive to Perform the Y2K upgrade for its student housing system. The housing system tracks and administers all aspects of student housing for the 150 acre campus, including room availability, financial information and student history. The Y2K upgrade of the system was recognized as being required in order for the system to operate past January 2000.

"Y2K date issues are not uncommon in database software developed several years ago, but can have a serious negative impact if it affects a critical system required to run a school or an office," says Daniel Latner, Founder and President of DL Interactive. "We were asked to perform this upgrade because of our expertise in database systems, and our ability to complete an important job quickly. I was gratified to be able to help, especially with a college that understands the importance of using technology as a teaching tool."
